Welcome to the NexLaw Knowledge Help Center – TrialPrep Section
TrialPrep is designed to help you build a comprehensive case strategy from the ground up, moving through pre-trial, trial and post-trial phases.
Getting Started: Creating Your Case
1. Navigate to TrialPrep: From the main dashboard, click TrialPrep on the left sidebar.

2. Add a New Case: Click the Add New Case button.

3. Enter Case Details:
- Provide a one-sentence summary of your case (e.g., “Personal injury case involving a slip-and-fall at a grocery store.”).
- Select your client type (e.g., Plaintiff, Defendant) and enter your client’s name.

- Select the Jurisdiction & Court whose case law you want to include in your results
- (Optional): Add the names of the opposing counsel or presiding judge to generate a Lawyer and Judge Analysis report.

Pre-Trial Phase
1. Upload Initial Documents:
- Upload the initial facts of your case by attaching a document or pasting text directly.
- To build a stronger analysis, upload key client documents (e.g., witness statements, police reports, medical reports) and any adverse materials (e.g., documents from opposing counsel).

2. Generate Document Outputs: Select the outputs you need TrialPrep to generate.

3. Review Your Strategy: Trial Prep will generate a detailed analysis and a suite of pre-trial documents. You can review reports on case strengths, weaknesses, evidence, and witness analysis.
4. Add New Documents: If new information arises, click Add Documents within the Pre-Trial Phase. TrialPrep will re-analyze all existing and new documents to generate a revised, updated strategy.

Trial Phase
1. Move to Trial: When trial starts, click Move to Trial Phase
2. Upload Trial Evidence: Add any new documents or evidence that have emerged, such as expert reports or last-minute discovery.

3. Get Your Real-Time Trial Strategy: TrialPrep will instantly integrate the new information and update your entire trial strategy, providing refreshed examination questions, a revised opening statement, and more.

4. Add New Documents: If new information arises, click Add Documents within the Pre-Trial Phase. TrialPrep will re-analyze all existing and new documents to generate a revised, updated strategy.

Post-Trial Phase
1. Move to Post-Trial: After the trial concludes, click Move to Post-Trial Phase.
2. Upload Final Documents: Upload the official court transcript and any other final documents.

3. Generate Final Brief: TrialPrep will generate a comprehensive Final Brief Submission, which you can download in Word or PDF format, ready for court filing.
