This guide explains how to use the Deep Research feature to conduct in-depth legal research.

How to Use Deep Research

1. Navigate to Deep Research

   From the sidebar, select NeXa. In the composer, open the use-case menu and choose Deep Research.

   

2. Enter Your Legal Query

   In the input box, type your research question (e.g., “What are the limitations for a breach of contract?”).

3. Configure Your Search (Optional)

   • Jurisdiction: Select the correct U.S. state or federal jurisdiction from the dropdown menu.
   • Attachments: Click Attach to upload relevant documents (like a complaint) to provide more context.

   

4. Review and Refine Results

   NeXa will generate a response with legal principles, relevant case law, and direct links to full-text sources.

   • Verify Sources: Always click the links to review the original case or statute.
   • Ask Follow-Up Questions: If you need more detail, type a follow-up question in the same chat window (e.g., “What happens if I exceed the time limit for filing a claim?”). NeXa builds on the existing conversation.
